After the good reception of their musical 'Dit kind Immanuel', Leon van Veen and Erwin de Vos now present 'Christus Mijn Verlosser Leeft'; a new musical based on the Easter story.
The authors say in an interview about 'Christ my redeemer lives': It is a musical about Easter; next to Christmas the most adapted part of the gospel in song and music. Why a new musical about Easter? "We actually always continue writing and sometimes it is nice to write within a theme. After having completed previous projects, the idea for this musical was revived. We had had the idea on the shelf for a while and the good reception of our Christmas musical made us enthusiastically start this project. We hoped, just like with 'Dit kind Immanuel', that we could add something textually and musically to the existing oeuvre around Easter."
