Description

General: This song flows musically like the peace it describes. Writers Marcel Koning and Judith Koedoot based the text on Psalm 62 verses 7 and 8: 'Seek rest my soul in God alone, from Him I continue to expect everything. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress, I will not be shaken'. By setting the Bible text to music as directly as possible, the text really 'sticks' in the long run and starts to speak even more. The music helps with this; the quiet bridge says musically what the text says ('God is our hiding place'). With various possibilities for solo singing and mixed choirs, all the more recommended.
