Description

Easter: Keith & Kristyn Getty wrote 'Come People Of The Risen Lord' together with Stuart Townend with the intention of offering a liturgical song. Many songs seem to be focused on the end of a church service, and relatively few on the beginning. The song is therefore constructed as an invitation. Slowly swelling until the invitation sounds, whereby the joy in the congregational singing and the chorus ('Be happy..') are inextricably linked to that reference to the risen Lord. Originally with Irish folk influences but later more towards a modern band arrangement, 'Come People Of The Risen Lord' is a congregational song that comes into its own even more at Easter!
