General: With music that evokes oriental atmospheres, the lyrics of ?Be still and know? certainly do not paint a rosy picture. War and hunger, fear and darkness dominate the verses, sung from the perspective of God who offers comfort and support in the choruses: ?be still and know that I am God?. Throughout the song there are many opportunities for instrumental intermezzos, which ultimately lead to a question and a challenge at the same time: we are called to follow God and to be His hope and hands in this world.
