Praise the Lord, come and worship Him!' is a beautiful example of a classical work that is given many possible applications thanks to a choral performance. The original by composer Franz Joseph Haydn, clearly a song of praise in terms of text, is here provided with a cheerful arrangement, in which the flute functions as a bridge between the different verses. These in turn rise in pitch. The beautiful melody thus appears in a different light each time and the message of worship is supported all the more. A song that is indeed compact, but no less beautiful.
