MUSICAL THE MESSIAH is a new, full-length musical written by Tore W. Aas, conductor of the Oslo Gospel Choir. The musical describes the life of Jesus, from birth to Ascension.


THE MUSICAL MESSIAH is divided into 12 acts;
1. The Word Became Flesh; 2. Three Names of Jesus; 3. The Miracles of Jesus; 4. The Adulterous Woman; 5. Parables Told by Jesus; 6. Two More Names of Jesus; 7. Jesus Speaks to the Samaritan Woman; 8. Jesus in Bethany; 9. Jesus Teaches His Disciples to Pray; 10. The Death and Resurrection of Jesus; 11. The Ascension; 12. Epilogue

The total of 24 songs are in English, but all connecting texts are in Dutch. The entire work THE MESSIAH lasts, including a break, two and a half hours. It is possible to shorten the work, for example by omitting acts or songs. For example, Acts 10 and 11 are very suitable to highlight around Easter. All 28 songs can also be sung separately.
